PARTICIPANT GENERAL INFO

RACE PACK DISTRIBUTION AND CONTENTS

All items required for participation, including the bib number, electronic timing chip, t-shirt, and other race materials, will be given to participants two days before the race. Kit distribution will only take place on the dates and times announced by the organization. No kits will be given outside these hours.

Participants must be present in person at the kit distribution point to collect their kit. To avoid crowding, deliveries are spread throughout the day. Distribution tables and guidance signs will be organized according to bib number groups.

Race Date: Sunday, June 21, 2026
Kit Distribution Dates: Friday–Saturday, June 19–20, 2026 / 09:00 – 18:00
Location: Race Center / Yeşilay Sepetçiler Kasrı, Sirkeci

Note: Race information may be updated by the organization up to one month before the race.

During kit collection, participants will be asked to show their registration confirmation email or official ID. If someone collects a kit on behalf of another participant, a signed authorization letter and a copy of the participant’s ID must be presented.

Participants must check the contents of their kit at the exit checkpoint. Any missing or incorrect items must be reported to staff before leaving the area.

For safety and smooth organization, kits will not be distributed on race morning.

To avoid any issues, all participants are strongly encouraged to collect their kits by Saturday at the latest.

BAG DROP, GEAR CHECK, AND VALUABLES

The baggage trucks will be near the start area. Runners must give their bags to the correct baggage truck. The truck for your bag depends on your bib number.

After the race, runners can get their bags back from the trucks or/and tent near the finish area. You must show your bib number to get your bag.

If you want to use the baggage service, please leave your bag at the truck before 23:30. Bags after this time will not be accepted.

You must put the official bag sticker on the front of your bag.

Only the official race bag is allowed in the start and finish areas. Other bags or suitcases cannot enter.

Please do not bring valuable things to the event. For example: phones, wallets, keys, passports, or jewelry.

The organization is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged items. Please leave your valuables with your family or in a safe place outside the event area.

BIB NUMBER, TIMING AND RACE RESULTS

All participating athletes will be provided with an electronic timing chip during kit distribution. The timing system utilizes RFID technology integrated into the back of the bib number. To ensure the system functions correctly and your official time is recorded, the bib number must remain attached and visible throughout the entire race.

Your bib number is uniquely linked to your personal data. Therefore, the use of your chip or bib number by another athlete is strictly prohibited and is a ground for disqualification.

Important Notice:

Participants have the right to file an objection to the race results within 7 days after the race. All objections will be reviewed and compared with the official results of the Türkiye Atletizm Federasyonu (TAF) referees. The final decision regarding the correct ranking will be made jointly by the organization and TAF.

HEALTH AND SAFETY GUIDELINES

1. Participant Responsibility

All runners are responsible for checking their own health before starting the Half Marathon.

If you do not feel well on race day — if you have fever, weakness, chest pain, dizziness, or signs of infection — you should not start the race.

During the race, if you feel dizziness, shortness of breath, extreme fatigue, nausea, chest pressure, or weakness in your legs, you must stop running and go to the nearest medical team.

2. Chronic Diseases and Special Conditions

If you have heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, asthma, breathing problems, or any medical condition that requires regular monitoring, you must consult your doctor before participating.

The organization does not provide personal medical monitoring or special medical support. Any medication or medical equipment you may need during the race is your own responsibility.

3. Medical Support and Insurance During the Race

First aid teams will be available on the course and at the finish area. Emergency first aid provided on the course is free for participants.

However, hospital transport, hospital tests or treatment, medical supplies, and any additional services are the participant’s responsibility.

All runners are covered by health insurance provided by the organization during the official race start and finish times.

4. Medical Services on the Course

Medical teams will be located at different points during the race:

  • First aid points at every refreshment station

  • Mobile medical teams along the course

  • Observation and emergency units at the finish area

Medical teams have the authority to remove a runner from the race if necessary. This decision must be followed.

5. Risks of the Race

A half marathon requires intense physical effort. Lack of proper training, missing health checks, or racing while sick can cause serious health problems.

The participant is responsible for problems that may occur in the following situations:

  • Starting the race without enough training or fitness

  • Racing while injured or sick

  • Ignoring a medical team’s instruction to stop

  • Continuing to run despite feeling unwell and not seeking medical help

6. Clothing, Equipment, and Weather Conditions

Runners must choose their shoes, clothing, and equipment according to the expected weather conditions on race day.

Temperature, humidity, wind, rain, and road conditions can directly affect performance.
